Art In The Park Deadline May 10, 2011

I would like to let other members know about the Warren Art in the Park. The dates for the event are July 9 & 10, 2011. I have participated in this event the last two years and it has proven to be one of the best shows I have been in. Even though, it is a smaller event then some of the nationally known events that I have been in, my sales at this event have exceeded the larger events. I believe this to be a wonderful opportunity for all artists but especially those who perhaps are thinking about moving in the direction of art fair sales. The reason is you do not need to have your own tent. There are areas for those with canopies but there is also a pavilion where you can display without a canopy. If you would like more information feel free to either email me at MGPPhotography@gmail.com call me at (248) 259-2315 or go to the website posted with this release. The deadline for entry is May 10, 2011 after that there is a late fee. Those artists in the Detroit metro area who do not wish...

Anniversary Exhibit Antons Arts Center

March 5th, 2011

Anniversary Exhibit Antons Arts Center

FAA member Michael Peychich receives an honorable mention in the Warren Tri-County Fine Arts Anniversary Exhibit at Anton's Arts Center, located in Mount Clemens, Michigan. The competition was juried by Linda Mendelsohn, Concerning the entry "Daybreak" she said: "Daybreak is one of the most mysterious and surreal images in this exhibition. This is yet another example of a photograph exhibiting the qualities of a painting. The extreme panoramic view compliments the horizontal movement of the entire composition. There is a Play between what we know to be realistic and a very abstract underlying design. This rural scene, with the single horse appearing toward the center, is transformed into a surreal vision; the strange golden light of daybreak intrudes the mysterious flat gray architectural forms which nearly float across the picture plain."
