Description
The White-breasted Nuthatch is a small North American songbird seen in and around wooded areas. Due to their long hind toe/claw the have the ability to hang upside down, in this photograph that trait is clearly visible. They feed on insects while moving down tree trunks head first giving them the ability to find insects in crevices birds moving up the trunk miss.
