Description
A Native wildflower that likes moist shady locations in ravines, and rocky slopes. They bloom May through July than in the fall have bright red berries. The bleeding heart flowers are among my favorite in the garden; this perennial flower likes partial shade and moist rich organic soil.
The name trillium means three parted lily. The three petals are said the be a symbol of beauty, healing and purity and is often associated with the Christian doctrine of the Trinity
