Looks as though one it has decided to go it's own way. These trumpeter swans stayed in Northern Michigan on the AuSable River for the winter. During most of the winter the shallow slow moving portion of the river freezes over, as soon as the ice begins to melt the trumpeter swans move in.

Michael has had a fascination with photography since childhood, however, later in life it has become a more important aspect of his life. He sees photography as a means to bring the beauty of creation to other people. Life is too valuable and precious to him to just let it pass by. Michael and his wife, Suzanne live in Northern Michigan in a log home on their flower and berry farm. Much of his wildlife photography comes off the farm or location close by it.
