Description
Little Sable Point Light located in Michigan’s lower peninsula ten miles south of Pentwater, Michigan is a beautiful brick light on an isolated beach on Lake Michigan. This lighthouse was constructed in 1874 and was known as Petite Pointe Au Sable Lighthouse until 1910 when the name was changed to the Little Point Sable Light. At the top of this 107-foot tower is Third Order Fresnel lens its 40,000-candle power output light has a 17-mile range.
If you would like to visit the lighthouse it is located in Silver Lake State Park. There is a beautiful beach and the site often produces stunning sunsets.
